Antique real photo postcard showing a large brick church with a square bell tower, arched stained glass windows, gabled wings and a stone-stepped entrance, with trees at either side. The sepia photograph sits on the right of the card, leaving the blank left side for a message as on early undivided-back cards. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Used condition: unposted, with a small crack/chip at the top edge, light corner wear, a few small spots, and toning on the back.
The back is the undivided style reading "Post Card - The address to be written on this side," with a stamp box showing a sailing ship and "Place 1-Cent Stamp Here." No stamp, postmark, message or address. The church and town are not named anywhere on the card.
A handsome early church image for real photo, church architecture or religious postcard collectors.
