MUSEUM PIECE! Offered here is an original two sided historical document set related to the family of American outlaw Jesse Woodson James. The front consists of a typed letter personally signed by Ethel Rose Owens, who identifies herself in the letter as the granddaughter of Jesse James. In the correspondence, Owens discusses her health, her role in providing genealogy information, and explains why she is sending a copy of the family genealogy with handwritten notes. The letter includes original ink signature and handwritten annotations made by Owens. The reverse side is a commercially printed Jesse James family genealogy chart titled The James Family of Missouri, which has been personally hand annotated in ink by Ethel Rose Owens. Her markings include corrections, clarifications, and notes identifying family members, reflecting direct descendant level knowledge of the James family lineage. These annotations make the chart a unique, one of a kind primary source document. Both sides have been kept together and are presented as a single historical piece. This is not a loose autograph, but a contextual document linking the signed letter directly to the annotated genealogy.Comes with a letter of provenance on how it was obtained. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and best represent condition, age, and content.Would love for it to go to someone who is a collector of James memorabilia who will cherish it. A rare opportunity to acquire an original signed and hand annotated Jesse James family provenance document.
