These Sheffield England made hunting knives were made in the early 1950's just after World War II. This example has genuine stag handles, (Sambar), and has never been used. As always, stag handles are highly desirable and eagerly sought after. The finely polished and unique blade configuration is blade etched "I Cut My Way", William Rodgers, Sheffield England. This is an outstanding MINT KNIFE, with unique Sabatier blade style with extremely sharp tip. The use of a hexagonal brass nut holding the stag, pommel and spacers together, has always been a head scratcher, but is commonly used on British knives,I believe that these knives have been grossly under collected, primarily because no-one knows their historical background. This is one off the very best.
