This is an early WWII Japanese Arisaka Rifle Type 30 Tokyo Arsenal Bayonet with rare inspection stamp. The Kokura Arsenal mark was used from 1935-1945. The Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo) showed the same marking and the pieces were made from 1870-1935. The bayonet shows a curled quillon (seen in rare prewar variations) with naval type cross guard and full metal scabbard/sheath with rounded tip. The piece shows very good condition overall, with some wear. The wooden grips show age & discoloration. However, the blade is extremely bright and remains untouched, as if it were covered for quite some time; unfortunately, no scabbard is present. The pommel is stamped with the serial number 324952.
