Pre-WWI British Pattern 1821 Artillery Officers Sword. Appears unmarked. The guard and backstrap are tight, the grip moves a little. The grip is down to the wood, and there is a piece missing by the pommel. The twisted wires is gone. The iron guard has some pitting and surface rust. The blade is in relic condition, it is still straight, unsharpened, darkened patina, pitting, some surface rust mainly on the lower half, the last 9" are jagged and thin. No scabbard. Washer is missing. Length of the blade measures 32 3/8" (1 1/16" wide x 5/16" thick spine), and the length of the sword is 37 3/4".
