PESTILENCE — a one-of-a-kind full head latex mask, hand sculpted and hand painted in the Thornevale studio.
Something got under the hood. The shroud is draped and set in layered black latex, pulling tight over the skull and falling loose at the shoulders. Beneath it, the face has gone — raw, blistered, weeping at the sockets, the skin sloughing toward the jaw. This isn’t a printed mass-market mask; every crease, lesion, and gloss of wet rot was built up by hand, and no second copy exists.
Construction
• Full head coverage with draped hood extending past the neck and onto the shoulders
• Latex over fabric substrate — form fitting with a flexible, skin-like feel
• Open eye holes with good visibility; mouth opening exposes the wearer’s own lips and chin, which sells the effect in person
• Hand painted with layered flesh tones, blood tints, and gloss finish on the wounds
• Fits most adult heads
Perfect for Halloween, haunt work, cosplay, film/photo props, or as a display piece for the cabinet of curiosities crowd.
Care: Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not fold or crush for long periods. Dust with talc or cornstarch before storing to keep the latex supple. Latex may cause allergic reaction in sensitive individuals.
Mannequin/display head not included. Handmade item — small variations and imperfections are part of the piece, not flaws.
