These vases are exemplary of the Famille Rose palette, a style of Chinese porcelain decoration introduced in the 18th century, characterized by its opaque enamels, particularly a rose pink. The
'Canton style' refers to porcelain decorated in Canton (Guangzhou) for export, often featuring panels with figures and floral motifs. The gilding on the handles and rims adds to their decorative appeal.
