THE SIX-SCENE MASTER TABLET ARCHIVE — 3 MATCHING OJUELOS TABLETS
Offered here is an extraordinary three-piece matching tablet series, each measuring roughly 9 inches tall and just under 5 inches wide. Together they form what appears to be a coordinated visual archive, with matching proportions, related construction and interconnected imagery.
Each tablet is engraved on both sides, creating six complete scenes of iconography. Across the set are ceremonial figures, animal-headed deities, winged beings, elongated figures, spheres, celestial forms, unusual glyph-like symbols, elaborate headdresses and disc/UFO-like imagery.
The level of detail is exceptional. The compositions extend nearly edge to edge, with bordered designs and additional engraving continuing around the tablets. When displayed together, they read almost like three carved pages from a larger symbolic book.
TABLET ONE — ANUBIS / CEREMONIAL SCENE
One scene features an animal-headed deity strongly reminiscent of Anubis, accompanied by elongated and human-like figures. Celestial spheres and disc-like forms appear throughout the composition. One participant appears to present or hold a head-like object, creating imagery that may suggest ceremony, transformation, offering or consciousness.
TABLET TWO — WINGED / AVIAN DEITY
Another tablet depicts a highly elaborate bird- or eagle-headed figure wearing ceremonial regalia. The imagery visually recalls ancient Near Eastern winged or avian deities sometimes compared with Nisroch and related traditions. Objects held by the figure add another layer of mystery and make this an especially interesting piece for comparative iconographic study.
TABLET THREE — WINGED FEMININE / BIRTH SCENE
The third tablet contains one of the most dramatic scenes in the group: a large winged feminine figure with multiple surrounding faces or identities. Her posture suggests fertility, emergence or birth, while a broad celestial or craft-like form appears above her head almost as a crown. The scene combines feminine divinity, celestial imagery and transformation.
Throughout the full set are additional images that may remind collectors of Anubis, winged deities, elongated beings, octopus-like forms, ceremonial thrones, planetary spheres, portals, unusual headdresses and UFO-like discs. These are visual interpretations rather than definitive historical identifications.
MATERIAL & CONSTRUCTION
The tablets are made from a dense pale material containing visible crystalline/mineral structure. Their exact composition and age have not been independently established.
The surfaces display extensive discoloration, staining, wear, fractures and what visually appears to be an aged exterior surface or patina.
IMPORTANT CONDITION DETAIL — PHOTO #24
Photo #24 shows a small recent chip on the corner of one tablet. This is fully disclosed as part of the condition.
Interestingly, the fresh chip exposes noticeably cleaner-looking material beneath the darker, more weathered exterior. Older fractures and recessed areas show darker accumulated coloration, while the newly exposed interior appears much fresher.
This contrast is consistent with the outer surface having undergone weathering or alteration before the recent chip occurred. It is not laboratory proof of age, but it is an important physical observation and one of the more interesting material details of the set.
Together, these three tablets create a remarkable six-scene symbolic archive filled with ceremonial, celestial and deity-based imagery. Their matching format, substantial size and dense engraving make them an exceptional display and study set for a serious collector.
