Up for sale is a vintage National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course DDC-4 publication from 1987. This book was sitting on a bookshelf for the past few decades and belonged to a family member who is no longer with us, so for all intents and purposes this listing is part of an ongoing online estate sale of sorts.
This book exhibits immediately visible signs of wear on it; appearing mostly on the cover appearing in the form of what appears to be a stain made by some unknown fluid (i.e. water damage) as well as some fading which may have either been a bi-product of this water damage, or may have been caused from it being kept in a glove box or some kind of tight space which would have required a bit of elbow grease in order for it to have been taken out or put back in repeatedly. Honestly, I really don\'t know the history behind this publication or how it came into our possession as the book seems to have been originally published in Chicago, and to the best of my knowledge I don\'t exactly recall any family member ever once visiting or living there... the only other explanation I can come up with is that this book was a requirement for a local driver\'s license at one point and it wasn\'t region specific.
Anyways, aside from the immediately visible signs of wear on the cover, the pages on the inside have also yellowed from overall age and storage and the pages closest to the cover also have that odd looking water stain on them; which may have been from an accidental spill of a car fragrance scent bottle or something... I really can\'t say for sure; but the book does have a rather pleasant and faint smell of potpourri to it at least. Anyways, while this book may not be the finest looking example of a vintage publication out there, it still may be considered collectible to a certain niche audience out there; hence the reason why I\'m pricing it to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.Seller\'s Terms Payment is to be made within four days of the sale\'s closing or if a best offer is agreed upon.
