The artwork depicts the AV-8B Harrier II (non-Plus variant), BuNo 164139, in the earlier “Flying Nightmares” livery with the distinctive “Night Mares Night Attack” rectangular patch — a different and historically earlier configuration than the 2007 prints. This is a numbered print from a finite limited edition run, making it inherently scarcer.
About VMA-513 “Flying Nightmares”:
One of the most storied Harrier squadrons in USMC history, VMA-513 flew combat missions across WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The squadron was decommissioned July 12, 2013 — all VMA-513 memorabilia is now historically significant and no longer produced.
