Meissen Snake Handles Vase Painted Designed by Leuteritz, circa 1924-1934
Highly decorative porcelain vase made by Meissen (Germany) later 19thor early 20thcentury. First designed by Ernst August Leuteritz in 1853. Hand-painted floral decorations to the front and back of the vase. Curling snakes handles on either side.
Gilded foot handles and mid-section as well as more gold trim above the main body and top rim (minor wear to gilding at the top). Marked underneath with the under glazed blue crossed swords mark (first quality).
Condition is good - some minor wear on the gilded top and bottom - hard to notice.
