In excellent condition is this whimsical Lynn Haney Collection Santa, Style #1809, titled "Where Did It Go?" and dated 1999. Measuring 22" tall up to the tip of the tree and approximately 12" across from the golf bag to the tree. The wooden base is 10" x 7".
This retired collectible captures Santa taking a quick break before facing a busy night, enjoying a day on the golf course until he loses his golf ball. With his hand shading his eyes, he searches among the trees for his missing golf ball. Santa wears a green-and-ivory Nordic-pattern knit sweater, matching cap, patterned stockings, red velvet knickers, and real-looking, worn golf shoes with actual shoelaces. He holds a golf club marked "Birdy" (likely a playful reference to a birdie in golf) as he leans forward in this playful pose, standing beside an evergreen tree, searching for his ball while a beautiful red bird, perched on a pine branch, looks on. (Note: the golf club rests against Santa's hand; it is not attached.)
True to Lynn Haney's reputation for story-driven artistry, this figure is packed with charming details. The golf bag contains removable golf clubs, including irons marked "Landex", a red pin flag, along with Christmas gifts tucked away safely. A green wicker basket full of gifts hangs from his neck. A zippered side compartment holds miniature golf balls and tees, adding another layer of realism and collectability. Santa stands on a wooden base that retains its original style identification sticker on the bottom, confirming: "Where Did It Go" Style #1809 ©1999. Lynn Haney Santas are beloved for their handcrafted appearance, expressive faces, detailed costumes, and imaginative themes. Golf-themed examples appear less frequently than traditional Christmas designs, making this a particularly appealing piece for both Haney collectors and golf enthusiasts.
Shipping note: The tree and the branch that the red bird is perched on may need some adjusting/reshaping after shipping.
