This early 1900s stein or tankard features transferware depicting \"The Scottish Caddy\", a popular European image from the early 1900s. The image was used in turn of the century advertising and artworks. He is seen in profile wearing a tam-o-shanter and smoking tobacco. He is also shown with golf clubs. The rim is gilted round, with the T&V Limoges hallmark on bottom. The stein is 6\" height with a 4\" diameter bottom. The transferware, the deep maroon colors, and the detailing of the image are remarkable. The condition is nearly pristine.
