A Limoges, France hand-painted porcelain trinket box, signed Peint Main, with the S&S Limoges France mark on the base. The white porcelain body is wrapped in deep red enamel panels with gold accent stripe detailing, a sculpted front pocket with gold border and clasp plate, and a gold ball-form clasp. An ornate brass hinge band is engraved with continuous scrollwork. The lid opens to reveal three silver-tone sculpted golf club heads emerging from the red top, with a clean white porcelain interior.
Peint Main — painted by hand — is the designation that separates authentic Limoges from imitation, and this piece carries it on the base.
