Beautiful, glazed porcelain figurine by Lladró, model #5239 (also known as "El Venenciador" or The Wine Taster).
Designed by sculptor Francisco Catalá and issued in 1984, this retired piece (2002) depicts a traditional Spanish sherry venenciador in authentic Andalusian attire, skillfully pouring wine from a long Venecia into a glass held in his hand.
The figure stands approximately 14.5 inches (37 cm) tall and showcases Lladró’s signature fine hand-painted details and elegant craftsmanship.
Condition Note:
Comes with the original box.
The wine glass stem in the figurine’s hand was broken during shipping and has been professionally repaired. The repair is clean and discreet (please see all photos for close-up views of the repair). The rest of the figurine is in excellent condition with no other damage.
A striking collectible for Lladró enthusiasts, wine lovers, or those who appreciate Spanish cultural art. Perfect display piece despite the noted repair on the wine glass, and the item has been deeply discounted accordingly.
