The deeply moving scene shows two peasant farmers pausing from their potato harvest to pray at the sound of the evening Angelus bell, their heads bowed in devotion against a misty rural landscape with a distant church spire. The back features Union Postale Universelle header with multi-language designations including Post Card, Carte Postale, Postkarte, Briefkaart, Cartolina Postale, and Russian text. Identified as "Angelus von Millet - Angelus by Millet."
