A vintage pair of Meoto cranes by Taisetsu Sōmokusha of Hokkaido, Japan. Carved in wood with smooth, elongated silhouettes, the two red-crowned cranes are designed as complementary forms. The original wooden tag translates to meoto-zuru, or "husband-and-wife cranes," and one figure retains its Hokkaido craft crane: approximately 6 3/4" H
Smaller crane: approximately 4 3/4" H

Very good vintage condition with light surface and finish wear consistent with age. Original foil label and wooden tag are present. Please refer to the photographs.

At COMAC Collection, each piece is selected for its craftsmanship, design, and enduring character. Vintage objects naturally show signs of age and use, and any notable condition details are described and photographed as accurately as possible. All items come from a smoke-free home.
