Italian Relief Majolica Faience Hand Painted Fruit & Floral Oval Wall Plaque 22\".
This hand-painted Italian ceramic wall plate is a vibrant tribute to Italy’s vineyard culture and centuries-old ceramic tradition. At the center, a woven basket overflows with ripe purple grapes and curling vine leaves, set against a warm golden ground—an enduring symbol of harvest, abundance, and convivial Italian living.
Each detail is painted entirely by hand using traditional techniques passed down through generations of Italian artisans. Rich mineral pigments and layered glazes bring depth and movement to the composition, from the softly shaded grapes to the expressive green leaves and delicate tendrils. The surrounding border, rendered in deep cobalt blue with floral and leaf motifs, frames the central scene and enhances the plate’s visual rhythm and balance.
The oval form and generous scale give this piece a sculptural presence, making it ideal as a statement wall plate. Subtle variations in brushwork and glaze reflect the human hand behind the work—an unmistakable hallmark of authentic Italian craftsmanship. Designed to be decorative yet enduring, this ceramic brings warmth, color, and Old World charm to kitchens, dining rooms, wine spaces, and curated gallery walls.
