Of the many locales famous for Barite (or Baryte, as it is sometimes spelled,) Cerro Warihuyn is easily the most famous in South America with the crystallography and shape unlike any other barite I've seen.
This piece features many "blades" of translucent golden barite set atop a light matrix. The terminations are in good condition and makes for a fantastic display piece. In fact, for a Cerro Warihuyn piece, it's quite sizeable!
