Offered here is a Giesen & Forsthoff Adoration De Luxe No. 666 straight razor, featuring a blade measuring approximately 9/16+”—slightly wider than a true 9/16”, but not quite reaching 5/8”.
This razor has undergone a full restoration, with care taken to retain its traditional appearance and original character. The original scales have been preserved rather than replaced, while the original spacer was removed and replaced with a new red G10 spacer. The red provides a subtle accent while G10 offers excellent stability and durability for continued use.
The Adoration De Luxe No. 666 is an attractive example of classic Solingen straight-razor manufacture, and this restoration was approached with the intention of preserving that identity rather than turning the razor into an extensively customized piece. The result is a clean restored razor that still presents much as the original maker intended, with the upgraded spacer being the principal modification.

As with all razors restored through Ye’Ole Straight-n-Strop Shop, the photographs are considered part of the description. The final edge will be finished on natural honing stones. The buyer may request a particular natural finishing stone when available; otherwise, the default finishing edge will be completed on a Japanese natural stone (JNAT).
