Tassels measure 2 1/5\"I believe that when these were washed at one point they may have shrunk and that would explain the odd measurements.persoal note: I would probably take everything apart and redo as I feel the sewing was not very good. The fabric itself is in very good condition with the exception of white paint on the top edge of the curtain panel.
