He joined WED Enterprises in October 1954, months before Disneyland opened, and his first assignment was designing the Autopia cars in time for opening day. Over the following decades he designed more than 100 ride vehicles and attractions, including the Disneyland Monorail, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Submarine Voyage, Main Street vehicles, and the Haunted Mansion doom buggies. He has often said that if it moves on wheels at Disneyland, he probably designed it.
