The plate says Bendix Aviation Corporation. That name was used until 1960, when the company became The Bendix Corporation, so this shell was made no later than the end of the 1950s.
Sold vented - it carries no gas pre-charge. Handle it as what it is: a heavy steel vessel. Do not pressurise it, and do not open the neck.
Sold AS-IS / as-removed. UNTESTED. No current airworthiness tag / no 8130-3. NOT for aircraft installation / not approved for return to service. Not sold as an aircraft part. Sold for display, collecting, flight-sim, study, or repair/overhaul. Buyer assumes all responsibility for any use.
About the source of this item
From the leftover stock of an aviation repair and certification shop; when the company closed the remaining inventory went to sale. That origin is real, but it does not mean this unit is approved for flight today.
