Antique Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn (WS&S) Bohemian majolica double-spout ewer/vase, model #2277. Features an unusual tall split/double-spout form with ornate raised floral decoration, scrollwork, turquoise-glazed interior, decorative loop handle and rich brown, green, cream and floral glazes.
The underside bears the raised WS&S maker’s mark along with impressed 2277 model/mold number and an additional hand-applied production/decorator marking.
Measures approximately 10 inches tall and 5 inches at the widest part of the mouth.
Condition: Displays beautifully with age-related crazing and minor surface wear consistent with an antique ceramic piece. There is a small chip/loss on the inside portion of the handle, shown clearly in the photos. Please review all photographs closely for condition.
Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn was a Bohemian majolica manufacturer, and WS&S pieces are documented with the distinctive raised cartouche on the base.
