Offered here is a rare, museum-quality antique bedspread, a breathtaking example of early 20th-century hand-craftsmanship. This is a true "heirloom" piece, preserved in a way that is seldom seen in the vintage market.
• Masterpiece of Texture: Entirely hand-crocheted using the legendary Popcorn (Bobble) stitch. Each stitch is tight, uniform, and creates a heavy, luxurious weight and a dramatic 3D tactile effect.
• The "Star of Bethlehem" Motif: A magnificent Star Medallion pattern anchors the design, radiating out into complex geometric lace-work.
• Size: Approximately 80" x 86". This fits beautifully on a Full or Queen size bed (fits as a coverlet/top layer).
• Pristine "Time Capsule" Condition: I cannot emphasize enough how incredible the condition is. It is a crisp, brilliant white with no yellowing, no stains, no repairs, and no odors. It appears to have been stored in a cedar chest for decades, untouched.
• Hand-Tied Fringe: The long, delicate fringe is 100% intact, and adds a romantic, flowing finish to the heavy textile.
Why this is a premium investment:
Modern machine-made "popcorn" textiles cannot replicate the density, weight, and soul of this handmade antique. It is perfect for a high-end Victorian, Farmhouse, or Mid-Century Modern interior.Antique Crochet Bedspread, Victorian Popcorn Stitch, Star of Bethlehem Quilt, Handmade Lace Coverlet, White Cotton Bedspread, Collector Textile, 1920s 1930s Bedding, Museum Quality Decor, Heavy Textured Blanket.
