Impressive matching pair of antique ornate metal garniture urns featuring elaborate Neoclassical decoration and exceptionally detailed cast ornamentation.
Each urn is decorated with elaborate floral and foliate relief surrounding crossed Classical attributes—a flaming torch and quiver of arrows, traditional imagery associated with Cupid/Eros and love. The bodies terminate in fluted pedestal bases with decorative feet.
The metal has developed an attractive dark aged patina with areas of warmer brass/gold coloration showing throughout. Each piece contains a substantial wooden interior/core visible through the pierced upper section.
