Beautiful matched pair of antique French Art Nouveau floral vases, circa 1900, attributed to the Faïencerie d’Onnaing of Northern France.
Both vases bear identical faint underside markings “672” and “23.” Onnaing production is documented using numbered models, including a documented No. 672 floral form. Because this pair does not carry a clearly visible conventional Onnaing factory backstamp, the maker attribution is presented conservatively rather than as a definitively factory-marked example.
Each vase features an elaborate sculptural form with three feet, large dimensional applied bows and flowing ribbons, hand-painted floral decoration, raised details and gilt accents. The cream ground is decorated with vivid pink/red flowers and green foliage, giving the pair wonderful turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau character.
Both pieces carry the same 672 / 23 markings and have matching form, decoration and dimensions.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition with expected age-related wear. Both retain strong color and attractive applied decoration. There are scattered surface marks, discoloration/patina, rubbing and areas of wear to the painted and gilt decoration. The dimensional bows, ribbons and feet show age-related darkening and wear. No obvious major cracks or major structural repairs observed. Please inspect all photographs carefully, including the rims, applied decoration, feet and matching underside markings.
A striking and unusual matched pair with excellent display presence for a collection of French Art Nouveau ceramics, antique floral pottery or European decorative arts.
