Acquired from a serious hardware and lock collection, here is a scarce and highly collectible original E.T. Fraim Lock Co. (Lancaster, Penn., U.S.A.) store display board. Dating from the 1910s–1920s, this lithographed metal/cardboard counter or wall display features bold graphics advertising padlocks, night latches, spare tire chains, and automobile locks.
While the original hardware is no longer attached, this piece retains incredible character with its original blue and gold color scheme, surface patina, and—most importantly—the original paper inventory label intact on the back.
