For sale is a beautiful, highly authentic antique British-made Ericsson magneto wall telephone. Manufactured by Ericsson Telephones Ltd. (ETL) at their famous Beeston facility in Nottinghamshire, England, this piece features a gorgeous solid wood "pulpit" cabinet with an integrated writing slope.
HISTORICAL PROVENANCE:
The original internal paper wiring schematic is remarkably well-preserved and explicitly displays diagram number N.16143. According to historical archives, this blueprint dates this instrument to 1932. The "D" suffix configuration indicates this model (N2510D) was a specialized export unit built for the New Zealand Post Office (NZPO) rural telephone networks.
KEY FEATURES:
- Original gold "Ericsson England" transfer decal on the front face.
- Twin metal "gong" ringer bells.
- Original hand-crank magneto handle on the side.
- Intact 1932 factory wiring diagram (N.16143) pasted inside the cabinet door.
CONDITION:
