This Lot of Original Authentic Primitive 18th Century Powder Horns Includes:
1) Large Reservoir Horn: Lathe-turned, low-domed softwood base plug with original spindle mark. Features a beautifully detailed, lathe turned raised ring collar at the spout. 8" x 3"
2) Medium Utility Horn: Appalachian frontier style with a hand-whittled "fiddle-head" wooden stopper. Wooden end plug has raised knob and is pinned with large, authentic brass tacks. Shows authentic bug-boring aging. 5" x 2"
3) Small Priming Horn: Homespun primitive design for ultra-fine flintlo_k pan powder. Outfitted with an oversized, hand-carved wooden "spade-handle" plug for fast pulling. Features a rich, dark caramelized finger-oil patina. 4,5" x 1 3/4"
