This antique Imperial milk glass rolling pin from the 1920s would serve as the perfect primitive baking tool or as part of a rustic cabin/country cottage farmhouse kitchen decor scheme. Collectors of vintage kitchenalia will love the unique character of this authentic piece, which features rich, beautifully aged wood handles.
A lovely opaque white milk glass barrel measures 9 1/2\" long x 2 1/2\" wide and is close to flawless and smooth, with only a few small, light food stains and one notable manufacturing blemish present, a shallow pit defect measuring 7mm x 4mm (photo #6). The solid wood handles have a few superficial splits, but hold the pin securely. A slight 5-10 degree bend in one of the handles (best seen in photos #7 and #12) causes a mild to moderate increase in resistance when rolling, but applying a bit more pressure allows the barrel to spin completely as designed (see video).
Total measurements are 18 1/2\" long x 2 1/2\" maximal width with a weight of 1 lb, 5 oz. Embossed on one end of the glass barrel are the words \"Imperial Mfg Co.\" (photo #13) \"Cambridge Ohio USA Pat. July 26, 1921\".
A lovely primitive piece that would nicely accent a farmhouse or antique kitchen space. We will carefully pack using gently recycled materials and ship within 1-2 days via USPS Ground Advantage to USA addresses.
