3 pc Fenton Blue Opalescent Hobnail Vanity Set- 2 Colognes/Perfumes + Fan Tray-1940s WWI Era
Description:
Fenton introduced the Blue Opalescent Hobnail in 1940 anddiscontinued it in 1954. During this period there were variations of the colorfrom a light transparent aqua to a medium blue. These vanity perfume bottles,#3865, were pressed from a #389 miniature vase mould, as indicated by the flatshoulders. These flat top stoppers were used from 1940-1947, after that Fentonused the clear crystal pointed top stoppers.
The #389 - 10 1/2\" Hobnail Fan Tray in Blue Opalescentwas introduced in 1941 and discontinued in 1951.
All pieces are in very good condition. I found no nicks, cracks or broken hobs. The only flaw found is a slight bruise on the bottom ofone stopper, as seen in the photo.
The bottles measure 4 1/2\' tall with stoppers and 21/2\" wide.
The fan tray is 10 1/2\" wide (rib to rib) and 7\"from handle to edge.
There are no markings.
