Lot of 23 Large original 1870s French Illustrated Engravings / Ephemera-
14.25 × 12.5”
A wonderful collection of 23 authentic 19th-century illustrated sheets from the French monthly journal L’Ami de la Maison, originally published in Paris during the 1870s.
These are original antique pages not reproductions or modern prints.
The collection was sourced from a period-bound volume of L’Ami de la Maison spanning 1875–1879. The individual issues were originally published as a monthly illustrated periodical and were later bound together for preservation.
This lot contains a particularly attractive assortment of Victorian-era imagery, including tigers, horses, elephant, dog, children, mothers and babies, musicians, women in period dress, domestic interiors, family scenes and other narrative illustrations.
The beautiful black-and-white engravings and naturally aged paper make these especially appealing for:

* Framing as original wall art
