This is a rare 1980s Satan Cross in Clear Blue from my personal collection.

ULTRA-RARE POINT ① — 1980s CLEAR BLUE
When clear-colored Kinkeshi first appeared in the 1980s, their transparent look and unique colors made a huge impression on children in Japan.
Until then, most Kinkeshi were solid-colored. The appearance of Clear Blue, allowing light to pass through the figure, was something completely different.
Depending on the light and viewing angle, the color and appearance seemed to change — almost like a “Kinkeshi that transforms with light.”
Later, other variations such as glitter versions appeared, but these early clear colors represent an important part of the origins of colorful and experimental Kinkeshi from the 1980s.
A FUN STORY FROM THE 1980s — THE “EDIBLE CLEAR KINKESHI” URBAN LEGEND
There was even a funny urban legend among Japanese children at the time.
Because some clear Kinkeshi looked surprisingly similar to colorful gummy candy, kids began whispering:
“Apparently, there are some edible ones mixed in with the Clear Kinkeshi...”
Of course, Kinkeshi were NOT edible! (LOL)
But that rumor shows just how unusual and exciting Clear Kinkeshi looked to children when they first appeared.
For collectors who actually experienced the Kinnikuman and Kinkeshi boom in Japan during the 1980s, it is one of those nostalgic stories that brings back the atmosphere of that era.
Clear Blue, light, transparency, and a little piece of 1980s Kinkeshi history.
