1971 Honda QA50 Minibike 9x9cm Vinyl Sticker Vintage Monster Art Seaside Arch:
$6.99

The design depicts a classic yellow Honda QA50 blasting along a sandy beach beneath towering seaside rock formations while its rider leans hard into the handlebars.

And this time we've apparently replaced the mutant with a considerably cooler rider. 😂

The artwork captures the unmistakable character of Honda's tiny QA50 with its yellow fuel tank and matching fenders, black tank trim, chunky little tires, compact horizontal-style proportions, chrome handlebars and stripped-down minibike chassis.

Huge retro HONDA lettering dominates the top of the design, while bold 1971 QA50 graphics and the MONSTERS ON MACHINES name complete the artwork below.

The real Honda QA50 was one of the wonderfully simple minibikes that helped introduce a generation of young riders to motorcycles.

Honda's factory documentation covers the QA50 K0 from 1970 through 1972, and an American Honda parts catalog for the model was published in February 1971.

At the heart of the QA50 was a tiny 49cc air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine. Unlike Honda's better-known overhead-cam Mini Trail engines, the QA50 used a pushrod/OHV valve train. Honda's shop specifications list a 42 x 35.6mm bore and stroke, 8.5:1 compression ratio and approximately 1.8 horsepower at 5,000 rpm.

Honda kept operation deliberately simple. The engine drove through a wet multi-plate automatic clutch and two-speed constant-mesh transmission, eliminating the need for a conventional hand-operated clutch. Final drive was by chain.

The chassis was equally basic—and that's part of the QA50's charm.

Up front was a small telescopic fork, but the rear of the motorcycle was completely rigid with no rear suspension. Cable-operated drum brakes handled stopping duties at both ends, and the original machine rode on tiny 5-inch wheels with fat 4.00-5 tires.

Honda's factory specifications give the QA50 a remarkably compact 34.6-inch wheelbase, 26.2-inch seat height and curb weight of only about 86 pounds. Fuel capacity was approximately 1.2 gallons.

Another clever QA50 feature was its folding/swiveling handlebar assembly. A quick-release arrangement allowed the handlebars to rotate downward, making the little Honda easier to transport or store—exactly the sort of practical feature that made sense on a family minibike likely to spend plenty of time being hauled around in the back of a vehicle. Surviving 1971 machines retain this distinctive arrangement.

For the early QA50 K0, Honda offered several wonderfully period colors including Gypsy Yellow, Sprout Green and Scarlet Red. The fuel tank was surrounded by distinctive black rubber molding, while the plastic fenders matched the tank color.

Today these little Hondas have become legitimate collectibles rather than merely old children's minibikes. Well-presented 1971 examples have appeared regularly at enthusiast sales, demonstrating the enduring nostalgia surrounding Honda's early miniature motorcycles.

This original Monsters on Machines sticker celebrates the QA50 with a colorful retro treatment that combines vintage Honda minibike culture, classic beach scenery and custom motorcycle artwork.

The sticker measures approximately 9 x 9 cm and features a colorful die-cut design with a clean white border.

Perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of Honda QA50s, vintage minibikes, Honda Mini Trails, 1970s motorcycles, classic Honda motorcycles and old-school powersports memorabilia.

Great for toolboxes, cabinets, laptops, workshop equipment, storage cases and other suitable smooth surfaces.
