Secretary of the Army, Frank Pace, Jr., paid his first visit to the WAC Training Center at Fort Lee, VA, on May 2, when he addressed the opening meeting of the annual WAC Staff Advisers Conference. During his visit, Mr. Pace, accompanied by Colonial Mary A. Hallaren, Director of the WAC, had the opportunity to watch the trainees in different phases of their basic and advanced training, address an outstanding company and have lunch with members of the Women's Army Corps. Excerpts from his address to the staff advisers and photos taken during the visit show a few of the highlights of his stay at the Southern Military Installation. "Among the young people of this country I have repeatedly found a willingness to serve, wherever needed, with enthusiasm and pride in accomplishment." ...
