Green striped Pelikan 140 fountain pen.
The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is an OB- Oblique Broad. The nib has a good amount of flex and line variation.
The pen is in mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks anywhere on the pen and the nib collar also isn't cracked.
This is the second version of the 140, with the newer chick logo nib, and the chick logo being on the blind cap also. The older ones had Gunther Wagner engraved on the barrel end, but so does this one. This was a common occurrence with leftover parts on transitional pens. The cap ring was not engraved on the first 140 pens, this one has 3x Pelikan 140.
The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included full disassembly, thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone.
I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
