The product is a vintage 1947 Goudey Indian Chewing Gum trading card named Painting. This single card is from the 1947 Indian Gum set and is an original piece manufactured by Goudey.
Goudey’s final trading card issue was the 1947 Indian Gum set. This 96-card set (R773) is actually a re-issue of some of the cards from the 216-card 1933 Indian Gum series (R73). Like their counterparts, the 1947 Indian Gum set measures 2-3/8" x 2-7/8" in size, and features identical images and card titles. The noticeable difference appears on the reverse; the 1933 set used green ink on the card backs, while black ink was chosen for the backs of the 1947 set.
