Although lapel studs were a popular campaign item in the late 1800\'s through Teddy Roosevelt and William H. Taft, there were still a few old fuddy-duddies around in the 1920\'s and \'30\'s who would buy them and allow some stud back, cello and metal items to be made for some profit. But there just weren\'t that many.
Here\'s a nice, little 7/8\" gold rim lapel stud with the 1928 democrat presidential candidate, Al Smith on it. We hope that this will make a nice addition to someone\'s political collection and there\'s a matching one out there - somewhere - for his republican opponent, Herbert Hoover for you to look for and match with it.
