Washington Courthouse, Ohio. Charles Burnett (left) is the inventor of a novel device, which he has patented, to prevent railroad crossing accidents. Two sets of rollers, 18 feet long, are installed at railroad approaches. When an auto hits the rollers as a train is coming, the rollers revolve, preventing the car from going forward. They revolve only one way, and the car can only proceed after a switch is turned on after the train passes, locking the rollers.
