Very nice 1920s Antique HENDRYX Brass Birdcage. No bent or broken wires. Some light damage to the fine brass screen seed guard that encircles the cage. Very clean, has patina from age, please see the pictures for actual cosmetic condition.12 inches across and 17 inches tall
The renowned Andrew B. Hendryx Company of New Haven, Connecticut, dates to the late 19th/early 20th century. This classic cage is a wonderful example of American birdcage craftsmanship from the golden age of pet bird keeping.
Key Features:
- Elegant dome design with a graceful rounded top, brass finial, and hanging loop — perfect for display or gentle use.
- All-brass construction with wire cage, mesh lower section, and solid brass base. Shows a lovely aged patina with some natural wear consistent with its age (see photos).
- Two original white MILK GLASS HENDRYX Feedersthat attach securely to the cage. These are increasingly hard to find with the cage!
- One feeder has a hairline crack but is still solid.
- Removable round tray/base for easy cleaning.
- Interior swing included.
