Original 1911 New York City dance invitation card for the Kenoza Lake Re-Union and Dance, held Saturday evening, October 14, 1911 at Terrace Garden in Manhattan.
The reverse features a printed “Stamp Flirtation” guide, explaining early 20th-century courtship messages communicated through the placement of a postage stamp. This was a popular but short-lived social custom of the postcard era, making surviving examples increasingly scarce.
Printed on original period paper. Corners are rounded as manufactured, not trimmed. Shows light age toning and handling wear consistent with a piece over 110 years old. Text remains fully legible on both sides. Please review photos for condition details.
A great example of pre-WWI American social ephemera, appealing to collectors of NYC history, courtship and romance ephemera, postcard-era culture, or early 20th-century Americana.
Ships flat and well protected.
