Front AspectFeatures an extraordinary studio layout of authentic nineteenth century Fijian tribal material culture. The display includes traditional wooden war clubs, throwing clubs, carved wooden kava bowls, and various domestic utensils. Prominently centered is a detailed, miniature woven model of a traditional Fijian pagan spirit house or temple, known as a Bure Kalou.Reverse Aspect and Postal HistoryPublished by the famous French postcard studio A. Bergeret and Cie, Nancy. The reverse features an undivided back format and carries a fascinating slice of Edwardian Sydney educational history. It is hand addressed to Master C. V. Collins at the prestigious Fort Street School, Sydney, New South Wales, with a side notation pointing to his residential address at 30 Hereford Street, Glebe.Condition ReportThis card is unposted and unused via the mail network but features a beautifully inked contemporary hand written address. It remains in excellent antique condition for its age with strong image contrast and natural light edge wear consistent with early 1900s paper stock.
