The ledgers include numerous named individuals, dates, monetary amounts, dues records, cash payments, and notations such as “admitted,” “dimitted,” and “deceased.” One page lists members alongside identifying numbers, while other pages document individual accounts spanning multiple years.
Especially interesting is an original printed lodge financial form tipped into one volume, identifying “Treasurer of ... Lodge, No. 232, F. & A.M.” and dated 1867, providing direct evidence of the ledgers' connection to Freemasonry / Free & Accepted Masons.
The books retain period bindings with attractive marbled paper-covered boards and leather spines/corners. Entries appear throughout portions of the volumes, while some pages are blank.
Condition: Significant age and use wear throughout. Covers and spines are heavily rubbed and worn, with edge and corner loss, binding deterioration, exposed areas, staining, toning, scattered marks, writing and other age-related wear. Some pages and sections appear loose or weakened. Please review all photographs carefully for condition, contents and completeness.
Your books will be carefully packaged for shipment. Photographs are part of the description.
