The pendant features an image of Saint Agatha on the front, who is shown carrying a palm branch, which is a symbol for victory, triumph, peace, and eternal life. The back of the medal has the words, "SAINT AGATHA" around the top, and on the bottom, a ribbon associated with the support of breast cancer. Includes a pink Saint Agatha card with Feast Day information.
Known as the patron saint of Breast Cancer patients (and sometimes Nurses and Martyrs), Saint Agatha was imprisoned for denying one of her suitors. She was mutilated in prison, and so she became the patron saint for those suffering from the disease.
