Up for sale is an authentic original WWII US Army Air Forces Type B-8 Flying Goggle frame manufactured by Rochester Optical.
Model: Type B-8 Flying Goggles
Military Markings: Molded top reads \"ROCHESTER OPTICAL\" and \"TYPE B-8 / PROPERTY A.F. / U.S. ARMY\"
Lens: Single-piece green tinted lens installed
Construction: Molded black rubber body, perforated top ventilation, and soft chamois leather inner face padding
Frame & Chamois: The rubber frame is flexible and intact with minor surface dirt/dust. The interior chamois leather lining shows light discolored wear from age/use but is completely attached and free of major tears.
Lens: Fitted with a green lens showing light surface scratching and minor scuffs; overall good clarity for display.
Strap (PLEASE NOTE): The original woven elastic strap has separated/severed into two pieces near the metal adjustment slide (as shown in detail photos). Requires repair, re-stitching, or replacement for wearable use, or can be displayed laid flat on a flight helmet.
