PEZZI MAI USATI, DA COLLEZIONE DI FAMIGLIA. Conservati fin dall'origine, mai utilizzati e mai lavati.
NEVER USED, FROM A FAMILY COLLECTION. Kept from new, never used and never washed.
David Byrne's "Alien" set for the illy Collection, 2001, produced by Rosenthal in Germany. Numbered 31632.
Four espresso cups, each with two ring handles standing in for alien ears, painted with the coloured almond-eyed faces Byrne drew for the series. The sugar bowl is modelled as a flying saucer.
CONDITION DISCLOSURE: the lid to the sugar bowl is missing. The bowl base is present and undamaged. I would rather state this plainly up front than have it come as a surprise - the price reflects it.
Everything else is complete: four cups, four saucers, sugar bowl base.
