WWII US Army AAF Leather Flight Helmet AN-6540 Slote & Klein Large:

Original World War II U.S. Army Air Forces leather flight helmet, AN-6540 pattern, manufactured by Slote & Klein.


This helmet is Army-issued, confirmed by the NXSA contract label (NXSA-36914) and the absence of USN leather stamping. Size is clearly marked LARGE. Features original brown leather construction with chamois lining and correct AN-4840-1 hard rubber ear cups.


Condition is consistent with WWII service use. Leather remains supple with honest age wear. All primary components are intact. No modern replacements observed.
