Original WWII Japanese Army officer metal chain sword hanger for a Shin Gunto sword belt.
Overall length: approx. 14 inches.
This is the longer style metal chain hanger used to suspend an officer’s sword from the belt.
The woven metal chain construction remains complete and solid, with both end fittings present.
Most of the original plated finish is still retained. There is some age-related darkening, light surface wear, and minor areas of plating loss.
The spring-loaded clip remains strong and functions properly.
Overall, a very good original example with attractive remaining finish and complete hardware.
