This helmet is made from an original WWII-era German M40 steel shell that has been carefully restored.
Provenance:
The shell was reportedly recovered in the Vinnytsia region, Central Ukraine.
Restoration Details:
Shell: Original size 66 steel shell,
Liner: New high-quality leather liner (fits approx.57- 59 cm head),
Finish: Matte Feldgrau-style military green,
Chin Strap: New leather strap with steel buckle,
Hardware: Liner band and fittings are reproduction.
Design Features:
Classic M40 characteristics including rolled edge.

This is a restored helmet combining an original shell with reproduction parts. Sold as a historical collectible.
